GTA Online Heists Guide

534

Heists were introduced into GTA Online in 2015 and have become one of the best ways for experienced players to make money with a either one other or 3 other players in the game. Heists involve planning, communication, a team with a varied skill set and experience and a leader taht knows what he’s doing!

Anyone can take part in Heists (as long as the player has completed the tutorial and reached rank level 1), but to start a Heist the player must be at least level 12. That player can then decide who can join and more importantly, how the rewards are split! He also pays the money to start the Heist.

The Heist Leader receives the his rewards at the end of the job, but other players will receive rewards as each part of the heist is completed and they can leave whenever they want.

Starting a Heist
To start a heist you have to be at least level 12 and over a high-end apartment. Soon after that point you should get a call from Lester who will tell you about the Heist he wants you to do. Assuming you accept it you can then invite friends to help you complete the heist or play with random players.

Once you have decided to start a Heist and you have assembled your team, you then need to start planning the job and who will be responsible for what. Good communication is the key to a successful heist, so understanding the plan of the mission as well as talking about your progress throught the mission is essential for a successful outcome.

Once a heist has been completed you’ll need to continue to play the game until Lester calls you again to participate in a new heist, or you can call him to request that a heist that you have previously done is replayed. Alternatively you can join the heist of another leader if you want to get straight back into another job.

Heists in GTA Online

The table above shows the Heists that are available in GTA Online. The rewards in the table are potential rewards in Normal Level, don’t forget you will have expenses for damages etc… That may reduce this figure. If you have the option to play the heist in easy mode, the reward will be less, and if you play the heist in hard difficulty mode the rewards are 25% higher.

The most potentially profitable heist is the Doomsday Scenario in Hard Mode.
